FAQ

Short answers to what people actually ask. If yours isn't here, email us and we'll add it.

General

What exactly is a clicker?

A small printed object with a mechanical switch hidden inside it. Press it and you get a real tactile click, the same kind you'd get from a good keyboard. Most of ours look like food, animals or objects rather than fidget toys.

We also make plain keychains with no switch, and articulated fidgets that bend and wriggle instead of clicking. Every product page says which one it is.

What's the difference between a clicker, a keychain and a flexi?

A clicker has a mechanical switch and makes a click. A keychain clips to your bag or keys; some click, some don't. A flexi (articulated) is printed in one piece with working joints, so it moves in your hand but makes no sound.

The Specs section on each product page lists the switch type, or says None — articulated flexi.

Who are these for?

Anyone who likes something to do with their hands. People keep them on desks, in pockets and on backpacks. They're popular with people who fidget while thinking, and with collectors who want the whole set of a shape.

They are not marketed as medical or therapeutic devices.

Are they safe for children?

They contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3. Every product page carries that warning.

They're also desk toys rather than impact toys. Printed parts can chip or crack at the joints if dropped from height or struck hard.

How long do they last?

The switch is rated for millions of presses, so in normal use the plastic shell will outlast the mechanism. Press-fit parts can loosen with very heavy use; they push back together.

What actually kills them is being dropped on a hard floor, not being clicked.

Who designs them?

The designs come from independent 3D artists. The printing, assembly, testing and packing is ours.

We're adding designer credit to each product page so you can see whose work you're buying.

What are they made of?

PLA — a thermoplastic made from corn starch rather than petroleum. Clicker models add a mechanical switch and a small spring. Keychain models add a nickel-plated split ring or ball chain.

Most designs press-fit together with no glue, so you can pull one apart and put it back without breaking it.

We buy premium filament rather than the cheapest available. Most of it is imported, because that's where the best material is made. Every piece is printed, assembled and boxed in New York.

Are the colors painted or printed?

Printed. When you see the waffle texture or the arcade cabinet's side art, that's geometry and filament changes, not paint and not stickers. It's slower to produce and it's the reason the detail survives being carried around in a pocket.

Do you sell the STL files?

No. We sell finished printed items only.

Your order

How long until my order ships?

Everything is printed to order, so the wait depends on the piece. Simple designs leave in 1–2 business days; multi-part sets and bundles take 3–5. The exact figure is on every product page, just under the price.

If your order mixes items, we ship it together once the slowest piece is done. Tell us if you'd rather we split it.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If it hasn't gone into the print queue yet, yes. Email us as soon as you can with your order number and we'll tell you whether it's still possible.

Once a piece is printing we can't stop it, because it was made for you specifically.

Is there a discount for buying more?

Yes, and it applies automatically at checkout across the whole cart, whatever mix of products you choose:

5% off at $50 · 10% off at $100 · 15% off at $150

No code needed. Free US shipping kicks in over $35.

A color I want is sold out. Will it come back?

Almost certainly, and quickly. We don't do production runs, so nothing gets discontinued because a batch sold through. A sold-out color is usually back within a week.

Shipping

Where do you ship from, and where to?

Everything ships from our workshop in Woodside, New York. We currently ship within the United States only.

Outside the US and want something? Email us. We'd like to know where the demand is before we set up international rates.

What does shipping cost?

Standard $8 · free over $35 · Express $15. Calculated at checkout.

The free shipping threshold is measured against the item subtotal, which is also what cart discounts apply to.

When will it actually arrive?

Two parts to the wait. First we make it: 1–2 business days for simple designs, 3–5 for multi-part sets and bundles. Then it travels: Standard is typically a few business days within the continental US, Express is faster.

We don't guarantee transit times. Once a parcel is handed over, its timing is with the carrier.

Where's my tracking?

You get a tracking link by email as soon as the parcel is collected — not when you order, since the piece has to be made first.

If tracking hasn't updated for several days, contact us and we'll chase it.

I entered the wrong address.

Email us straight away. If we haven't shipped yet we'll fix it for free.

If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we'll reship once you cover the return postage.

My parcel is lost.

Contact us and we'll trace it. If it's confirmed lost in transit, we reprint and reship at no charge.

Returns and replacements

Mine arrived damaged or broken.

Send a photo within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a free replacement. No need to post the broken one back — we print these ourselves, so replacing one is cheap for us and gets a working piece to you faster.

This covers parts that arrive cracked, switches that don't click, and pieces that won't assemble properly.

Can I return something because I changed my mind?

No. Each piece is printed after you order it, so there's no stock to return it to.

Check the dimensions on the product page before ordering. These are small — most are between one and three inches — and photographs make them look bigger than they are.

You sent the wrong item.

Tell us within 14 days and we'll ship the right one at our cost. Keep the one you received.

A part came loose in the post.

Most designs press-fit rather than glue, so parts can separate in transit. Line the piece up and push it firmly back together; it's designed to come apart.

If something won't seat properly, send a photo and we'll sort it out.

The clicker stopped clicking.

Unusual, but it happens. Get in touch with your order number and a short description of what it does now. Switches are replaceable.

How should I look after them?

Keep them off hard floors and out of hot cars — PLA softens in sustained heat, so a dashboard in summer is the one place they really don't belong. Wipe with a dry cloth; no solvents.

Wholesale

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes, and it's a big part of what we do. Minimum 12 units per style, $250 minimum on a first order. Trade pricing runs to roughly half of retail and improves at 48 and 144 units.

Apply on the wholesale page. We review applications by hand, usually within one business day.

Why should a shop carry these?

Because the restock is a print queue rather than a shipping forecast. Order Monday, shelf it Friday. Twelve units per style means you can test a design without committing to a case of 144, and nothing gets discontinued underneath you.

Do you provide a display?

Two. A three-tier counter riser that holds 24 pieces, free with wholesale orders over $500, and a rotating rack that holds about 60 keychains, free over $750. Both come with a printed header card and blank price tags.

Can I get custom colors?

At 144 units and above, yes — we can match a store palette or a seasonal window. Ask before you order and we'll send a printed sample first.

Are you on Faire?

Not yet. For now, apply directly through the wholesale page.
